The Morin hoor (morin khuur, also known as the horsehead fiddle) is a traditional Mongolian bowed string instrument which consists of a trapezoidal wooden-framed sound box, to which two strings are attached. Founded on June 20, 1986, as the world's first morin hoor team, Chi Bulag Wild Horse Morin Hoor Troupe has been active on stages both at home and abroad for the past 30 years, visiting countries and regions across Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. They held concerts at the Wiener Musikverein in 2005 and participated in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
